so just been away and just flown back. normally as plane is descending i get ear pain and muffled ear but i am able to pop ears but this time its different its been 10 hours since landing and my left ear is totally blocked and just wont clear and i have tried everything to clear it.

i have had a bit of sore throat and cold but the blocked ear has only happened coming down on the plane.

i am scared will it go? have i done damage? is it going to cause dizziness or hearing loss forever

i am scared it wont clear i dont know what to do please help

Unlikely. I get that too on every flight, can be a couple of days sometimes where it feels blocked/muffled before it goes back to normal.

See a dr if concerned but try not to worry.

yeah that sounds right. Are you also getting short sharp pain sometimes that lasts a few seconds. Its all because of ear pressure. I often have a blocked nose too at any given time which prevents them from draining properly.
