Ear throbbing can polyp come back?

I had polyp in ear removed years ago bad ha s no trouble with it.recently had constantly throbbing in ear and pulsing ,headache for five days passed it off as an viral.infection.went to doctor said was something in ear .was sent to E and T immediately E and T removed unknown objects from ear looked like bacteria,infection was so bad did a injection antibiotic to heal it.E and T said was something in ear causing problems and may have hearing problems .have to go for scan,what scan so you go for ear?also there is blood coming from ear since injection could that be polyp coming back?
