Eardrum Perforation Question

Hi everyone,

Over a year ago, I got hit in the ear causing a perforated eardrum, it healed completely without any complications. A few weeks ago I was hit on the other ear causing the same thing. This time my doctor prescribed an antibiotic/steroid and I felt better in a few weeks, regained my hearing, etc. Last week I finally noticed that after every time I spoke that ear would get a popping feeling. Yesterday, I as working outside on the deck with some power tools, hammers, etc with construction equipment going on right next to me for HOURS and I have decently noticeable tinnitus, and slight hearing loss from where I was. The doctor said that it was healing well and couldnt get worse if i didnt get water in it (which i havent) but if i have opened it slightly, will it still heal by itself?
