I have had similar episodes though I never vomit, just have the shakes, and it doesn't happen regularly. I have had them for a very long time and I have wondered if is is low blood sugar causing them as in the past I could stop them by eating something such as a banana or yoghurt or, when nothing else was to be found in the cupboards, some sugar. It is possible it is a reaction to the pred causing your liver to release extra glucose and the insulin produced then sends your blood sugar level far too low and it creates hypoglycaemia.

But if you are having these episodes more frequently as time goes on it really does require investigation properly.

Recently I have been feeling very sick in the morning and did not know why. My sister thinks I am not eating properly. I also find I get very cold, other people come into the room and say it is nice and warm in here, and I think no it isn't. One person suggested I do not move around enough.

Feeling cold can indicate low thyroid, and don't forget, the main cause of hypothyroidism is

Hashimoto's, an autoimmune disease. If you have one autoimmune disease (PMR) you are

more likely than the average person to develop another. So everyone should probably keep

an eye on their thyroid by getting a blood test once a year.
