Easy Way to Stop BPH Urine Dribbling

Posted , 6 users are following.

After years of dealing with shaking urine all over the bathroom and dribbling urine staining my underwear, I finally discovered a simple way to avoid the whole problem. After urinating, I stand over the toilet and run my finger along my perineum from just above the anus to the base of the scrotum. It is kind of like "milking" the urethra. All the urine that is usually stuck in it comes right out. I wish I had know about this 10 years ago - it would have saved a lot of mess.

Interesting.  I'll have to try that.  However, my solution for the past 50 years is to "milk" my penis into a bit of toilet paper.  And when nothing more comes out, I wrap my penis in some toilet paper, since there's always a few drops that come out 5 minutes later.  As this procedure requires some toilet paper, i always have peed in a stall rather than in a urinal.  And when I have no option, I make sure I have TP or facial tissues handy to do the same at the urinal.

I use Depends Shields or TenaMen Extra Light. They do the job nicely, are discreet and as there's an adhesive strip they stay in place in your underwear. No more wet spots or stains. One lasts all day and they are relatively inexpensive, a small price to pay for keeping fresh and clean.

Good advice.  I would add that once you're done, wait a minute.  Then repeat the procedure.

Had a GP tell me that 35 years ago.  It generally works well; but isn't 100% effective 100% of the time.  The important thing is to relax and sometimes I'm in too much of a hurry trying to hurry up and get it out.  That is when that system fails me.
