Eating issue

Hello everyone touch wood I have mostly got over glandular fever which I got in June 2017. I now have an under active thyroid due to the virus. Now recently I have been having a bit of an issue when eating stuff. I have to chew and chew quite a bit in order to swallow. I was wondering whether it could be acid reflux which is possible. I was thinking though it could be a feature of glandular fever that has come very late. Does any one else have this or a similar issue.

    Hey Jelley,

So sorry to hear that you have an under active thyroid after this virus, my knowledge of that is very limited but I do hope and pray that they can get you on the right medication that will keep that under control and that you can live a full and healthy and normal life with that still.

That must be so frustrating the chewing and difficulty swallowing issue, I hope very much this is just a temporary thing that will pass over - it may well be connected with the virus as nothing is off the table with this thing, so many areas can get affected at so many different times, with different things affecting different people. Thankfully it wasn't something that I struggled with but certainly acid reflux and digestive type issues are things that I've read others on the forum here talk about during this virus, and also talk about these things getting better too after a while.

Hang in there Jelley, hoping and praying for better times ahead.
