Eating less + pooping more = gaining weight

Posted , 1 user is following.

I'm 24 M and have been having gut problems. Not sure if it's due to gluten allergy, lactose intolerance, diabetes. The gut issues meant going to the bathroom less for a while but didn't feel constipated.

I was still pooping soft stool once every other day, almost like diarrhea, but when I started fasting to cure my gut problems I noticed that I started pooping a lot more.

Today I checked the scale and was shocked to discover I had gained 2.2kg from this diet. I've been trying to put on weight for a long time and it's surprising to find that eating less has been the most successful method.

Just wondering if anyone else has/ had this issue and knows what it is that's causing it. Thanks.
