EBV and Cancer? Freaking out

im sorry guys, im just kind of paranoid. I dont know how i got this sick but its been like 5 months and it feels like its not getting any better. Ive read that Ebv can cause certain cancers which freaks me out because the symptoms that have been bothering me the most sound like it could be something worse, and i feel like the doctors havent really been taking me serious because i look fine. I still have a sore throat thats red and bumpy at the back, throat stinging and pain, a weird feeling and taste from mouth, nasal congestion as well as dryness feeling, back pain going to my back neck(maybe swollen lymph nodes?), and stomach pain stings. I really don't know what else to do and am freaking out a little. Also my memory feels like its kind of bad. I rarely went to the doctor before because i was never really sick. Up until now, Ive been going multiple times but i feel like they are not much help and insurance takes long to accept referrals( i have the free medical insurance). What can i do? I heard there are better doctors in San Francisco but how would i get started to be seen asap if i could?

Could be mold, virus, Lyme and/or one of the Lyme coinfections. Try a naturopath or doc who deals with these things.

Go to your nearest hospital E/R. They have the equipment to give you a thorough check-up and treatment. You don't have to travel elsewhere. Good luck.

Hi
EBV is caused by a Herpes strain.
Do you by any chance have also oral Herpes ? ( Hsv1) or HSV2?
If you are having a sore throat it might be due to the virus and is straining your immune system or it could be a becterial infection and in this case you will need anti biotecs.
Can you see a Gp (General Practice Dr) ?

well ive been to the hospital twice when i first started feeling sick, but they never found anything according to the blood work. My pcp later found Ebv but thats all they told me since, and they've basically just left it at that. I even tried switching pcp but its been almost the same treatment. I did get referred to ultrasound because my throat seemed swollen but they said that came out fine. Theyre basically just saying that my chances of having something worse are low because Im only 22. I will try if i can see a naturopath. I feel like my options are kind of limited here in the Central Valley California, but thats because Ive never really tried to seek medical attention before being sick. Some people have said that doctors here suck, and that they decide to go elsewhere. Im just not sure whether that would be an option with my free insurance.
