I have the worst difficulty breathing it feels like I'm always short of breath and I'm always trying to breathe. Then it stresses me out my heart palpitations are so bad. My parents say its anxiety because i haven't gotten diagnosed. I have thyroid swelling. Last week I think I had an ebv infection but no mono?? Recently I cant sleep or breathe. I'm so worried about school i feel like I will pass out any moment. I'm 20 years old sometimes it itches. My tonsils have holes and I'm always burping.

have you seen a pulmonary specialist? I had a hard time breathing, and i went to a pulmonary doctor, and he told me that i had COPD. I am doing better now that I have been given good treatment. i have medication and inhalers that have helped me. i have had this ailment for many years. you also learn a different method of breathing.
It take awhile to become used to the changes, and you will find it to be better.
GOD bless, and slow down a little.

hi, you really need a diagnosis but also please know that stressing makes symptoms worse, look into supplements which will support you, such as selenium, magnesium to relax, and iodine rich vegetables which will support an overactive thyroid. Burping a lot may also be a sign of a weak immune system so building your gut flora may also help. If you also avoid artificial /chemical based sugars this will support your gut and therefore your immune system. Try and relax as much as you can and when you get a diagnosis, work with it, but retain responsibility for your own body. Hope you feel better soon. 😉

Do you feel like your breathing is laboured because you are thinking about your breathing constantly? (aka manual breathing)
I am just wondering because I've had that happen to me for long periods of time and it has stressed me out, but the symptoms would go away whenever I forgot about it because my breathing was back to being automatic. I've had all sorts of weird mental things happen to me since getting mono so its possible.
so if that is the case it's definitely anxiety. If not, go to a doctor just to check up.
