ECG abnormalities - should I worry about this?

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi,

Because of my heart palpitations I purchased a 1-channel ECG monitor.

It said I have "suspected premature beats".

The ECG looks weird to me, there is one very large abnormality on the second line, which is not an artefact I think. I was totally steady and still while taking the reading.

Are these just harmless PVC's or should i see a doctor about this?

Hello. Yeah they do look like PACs/PVCs but I'm not a doctor. The actual ECG beats look normal (normal looks really alarming and weird but Google ECG QRS complex) and you can see . Regarding the second row, I'm not sure why the QRS sequence is raised however (in my opinion) after that it looks like you had an extra systole (extra beat). But if you're getting continuous palpitations without a main cause then see your doctor (don't know if this is right as I'm no doctor) hope this somewhat helps, good luck!
