Echocardiogram results

Hi All -

I had a heart echo done on Saturday in preparation for a upcoming knee surgery. I noticed she circled a couple of area on the picture. As I have angina, should I be worried?

Thank you in advance!

    Hello Tigger,

Im not sure you should worry, if the Echo shows anything up, they will discuss it with you prior to surgery.

I suffer with ectopic heart beats and they didn't want to knock me out for my knee surgery. I had my knee replaced with an epidural and had no adverse issues.

No, they will take good care of you. I had an ECG the day prior to an operation and as the anesthetist did not like its result he asked for an echo cardiogram. That kept him happy as he said ‘ I don’t like losing a patient ‘ Most times he is the most important man in the theatre. I’ve had three operations since then and they always go through every detail with you. Last time they put my midafternoon procedure back by an hour and half because I had put milk in my cup of tea before leaving home at 11am.
