I get those too... and they are very depressing. I wore a holter monitor for a month. It showed the ectopic beats that my cardiologist called PVC's and said they were nothing to worry about. I just had my annual physical yesterday and talked to my primary care doctor about them. He also said to me that they are nothing to worry about. Most everyone gets them, but some people feel them more than others. He told me some of the things that trigger them include caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, certain food additives, stress etc. I also looked online for other causes and ran across a discussion of something called gastrocardiac syndrome. Look it up. I think this contributes to mine as well. Some days are good, and then there are the days that I get them very frequently. Those are the days I hate... it really drains my energy too. My doctor also recommended that I try something called the valsalva manuever. Look that up too. It is sort of where you hold your breath and bare down... it sort of forces your heart to go back into a better rhythm. You have a good discussion group here. - by all means check with your doctor and/or cardiologist just to make sure your heart is structurally sound. Most likely they will tell you what they tell most people on this discussion group... nothing to worry about. But it does cause anxiety to most all of us. Good luck to you.

I suddenly had more than usual and was put on a beta blocker only take a quarter of 2.5 mg and they have stopped . Mine were definitely caused by stress and taking strong pain killers after surgery .  I had 9000 in 24 hours and was told by my cardiologist that anything over 5000 and they treat it . I’m hoping when I see him next I can stop tablets , must say that even small amount has stopped my anxiety . So if they say don’t worry try not too or you will make them worse . Also exercise is good , walking

Yeah what everyone says, and me too.  They don't mean anything until they get bad enough for long enough, and they they'll try to do something - but the stuff they try to do is pretty horrible, doesn't work all the time or easily when it does.

Are you on any meds now?  Low-dose beta blockers are easy and sometimes help.  I don't like taking them, but my arrhythmia was bad enough the last few days that I took some - and after about 18 hours it's helped a lot.
