hello, my name is jerry, i just turned 18 less then a month ago, ive had heart palpitations( ectopic beats ) for over 6 months now, it started when almost a year ago i had them all day and it really freaked me out, but after that day they stopped, then a few months later i had them all day again, and went to the hospital and they told me that i was dehydrated when all i drink is water and i know for a fact i wasnt dehydrated, so after the visit they did go away for a couple weeks, then one day i started having them every day, and i just kept hoping theyd go away one day and they havent, i went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and i got my blood work back yesterday and everything is perfectly fine, and the doctor says im very healthy, he put me on a waiting list for a 24 hr heart monitor, some days i only have a couple, while other day ill have alot, i dont keep count so i cant give a number, i keep reading they wont kill you, and that there common but no one else my age says they have them or worry about them, depending on the day when they happen it doesnt affect me at all, while other days there all i can think about, and they make very anxious and worried, while other days the feeling and thought of them doesnt bother me at all, theyve affected my mental health alot these past few months, before then i had no mental health problems at all, but they make me worry alot, and some days have me on the edge of a panic attacks, but they never make me dizzy, light headed, or short of breath, and i guess its the fact of not knowing if there gonna be something that takes my life, or makes my health in the future bad or not is what scares me the most, i try to tell myself im fine, but someone days its hard when im doing that and i have one mid sentence, so im asking for some advice on coping with this mentally, and helping them not be has bad or often physically, i would love to hear yalls stories of having this, and how yall get thru with it, and hopfully hearing other peoples stories and what they do will help me, with them i have good days and bad ones, but it doesnt matter if im have a great time, bad time, sitting, or working, they happen randomly and show no pattern, i dont eat junk food, i drink only water, and im very active and healthy and i cant find out why there happening, so if you read this far thank you so much for your time! and please get back to me on your thoughts please

Hi Jerry
We have quite a few people in their early 20's and 30's popping up here with similar concerns to yours.
I think it would be worth your while to read the various threads and comments on this site. It will show many people are in the same boat as you, with many having far more serious episodes.
You will also find here comments on various triggers and possible remedies.
Keeping anxiety under control is essential, as is ensuring you drink enough water, cut out caffeine and go easy on alcohol. Getting enough sleep is another essential.
Are you able to identify what causes your episodes, in which case it might be useful to keep a diary for a few weeks. Many people say the episodes come completely out of the blue whilst others say there seems to be a pattern
