Ectopic heartbeats - i'm struggling

Hello
I'm 32 years old and started getting ectopic beats over a year ago. i'm still waiting for a 48 heart monitor for confirmation of what these missed beats are. i am a mother and home educator and since these ectopic heart beats have started i feel like its taken over my life. i have lost all confidence. i don't like going out or being left on my own, i don't feel confident enough to excercise and get very upset and anxious. somedays i feel like its taken over my life and it makes me very sad to think of my future. the NHS have offered no support and say i just have to keep waiting to be seen by cardiology (I've been waiting for over a year).
Most days i have around 10-20 a day and lately they have started doing them in a row which really freaks me out.
any advice for trying to stay positive and cope whilst trying to run a family?
thank you x

I have skipped beats and the worst thing is that I have little perspective as to its severity or the causes. The diagnosis will come hopefully after I complete all the tests the cardiologist requires. Just sent in the 2-week Holter monitor, and a stress test is next. I am confident though that the skip beats are not an emergency as long as other symptoms are not present, like shortness of breath or chest pain. Like you, I dont feel safe exercising when my heart has skips.

If you read the long thread (93 replies-started by another Emily) ) that is quite instructive as some people have suffered for 45 years and some have ectopics every few seconds and yet the doctor tells them not to worry.
There seems to be a lack of research and doctors can be dismissive.
Can I ask what your Blood Pressure is first thing and before eating in the evening?
High blood pressure seems to be a factor although as these things often come out of the blue for no apparent reason it is hard to pin the cause down
