ectopics, palpitations, weight and waistlines

Reading through the threads, there seem to be so many different triggers and what sets off one persons ectopics or palpitations doesn't affect another.
As this is Chocolate Easter Egg season-and many of us have over indulged over the last year- can I ask a rude question of sufferers, after reading about the dramatic effects of large waistlines on the Heart, the veins and blood pressure
What is your BMI and your waist size? I am a little overweight but with a BMI that shows I am by no means obese, but after reading an article that the waist size on your trousers (pants) bears no relation to your actual waist size I thought I had better check.
Previously I had been smug at the idea that anything over 40 inches for men (around 32 inches for women) was storing up trouble as I slid into my 36 inch trousers.
Upon measuring my waist properly I found I was 43 inches. As my waistline has grown so have my ectopics although my BMI has barely changed
There are plenty of videos on the web showing you how to measure both BMI and your waistline so would be interested if being above the recommended sizes are common factors to many sufferers?
