i'm in the U.K. And have been given a group of exercises to do with an exercise band and static ones against a wall. This is under the NHS. Has anyone had success with these exercises?

Sadly yes!!
I have had a lot of problems with both shoulders over the last 3 years , with various tendinitis and frozen shoulder problems . Last year I was offered another op but decided I needed to sort it out myself - so I concentrated on physio exercises and then went to a gym and got a personal trainer who was trained in sports injuries -it has been a lot of work but I have improved the strength and flexibility of arms and shoulders and general fitness!
My arms are not perfect but I feel much more able to cope and the pains are now minimal
So , yes , do the exercises and keep building up the strength , rather boring!but in my view essential
Good luck
