Hi Riri, I've been on Effexor on and off for 20 odd years' it's a very effective anti depressant, anti anxiolitic and for panic disorder.

Im about to restart Effexor on Saturday and am hoping it will work for my anxiety and depression.

    Good luck!

Yes. Undermedicated and undermanaged for 4 years at 75mg XR, and then was well managed at 150mg XR for 6 years, followed by a two year gradual taper. The worst of my symptoms passed in the first 2 years (the unbearable ones took about 4-6 months). All remaining nagging symptoms disappeared entirely over the next 2 years and then i was maintained on same medication level for 2 years bfore finally tapering. I was treated for anxiety disorder with severe panic and escalation into brief psychosis (escalation aftr delivering a child).  I have been off medication for 4 years now.

Also heard of this and not heard bad side effects etc, May take time to start working, but just ask doc if concerned, I almost gave up on med once, doc advised to persevere, and eventually had good results, hope they help❤️
