Effexor at low dose ?? Experience

Hi folks ok so I'm taking Effexor / Venlafaxine for depression and anxiety and I'm supposed to take 3 tablets daily, 1 morning and 2 at night. I haven't been getting much sleep lately though and feel zoned out and felt like a thoughtless robot.

I tried taking just the tablets at night and I got more sleep but felt like the quality was rubbish. And through the day I just got on with what I had to do.

But then I started to just take the one tablet daily in the morning. I feel a lot better for some reason, I feel as though Ive got loads of adenalone. Problem with this is that it takes a long time for me to sleep, but I do feel better on just the one tablet in the morning.

Anyone else tried and experienced this ???

Sorry that was meant to say "adrenaline"

I take venlafaxine XR in the morning and mirtazapine at night to help me sleep. The combo works great for me; I feel good and I also sleep well. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about your dosage and when you should take it. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about how the medication is affecting you so you can adjust it so you can function during the day and sleep at night. Good luck.

Phyllis do you mind me asking how long before you felt better on this combo, I was on 375 venlafaxine and 3 weeks ago had 15mg Mirtazapine added. I'm still waiting for it to benefit my mood.
