I cant sleep, my anxiety has increased, I have zero appetite, I feel wobbly, my entire day i feel like a depressed zombie. Does this get better ?? Right now im relying on ativan to get thru it but that only does so much...my doctor even thinks maybe I should get off. help

im not super sure, by week 4 or so give or take a cpl days it got better, the other commenters are right about the withdrawl, ive never had any problems getting my meds filled or anything but i have forgot to take it for a 2-3 days and the full body zap type feelings and overall weird feelings come on like crazy but once i took a pill and waited for about 4-6 hrs it started to get better

I , personally, just Me you realise.. wouldn't take it ever again.. I was prescribed Venlafaxine many years ago.. and I have had several problems with Forgetting to take it and going into withdrawal ..which is Awful !! and supplies running out.. It's up to you and what your Doctor decide.. but I wish I had Never been prescribed it Ever .. I'm still on a lower dose than I was initially.. but I'm too scared to reduce it any further, especially just now.. Hope you get better.. Best regards..

well i worry because Ive been on lexapro before and it was 6 weeks of severe anxiety attacks one after the other before it settled down...scared to try a new one again

I've not heard of lexapro but just googled it.. seems to be same as efexor ( Venlafaxine) .. I So wish I could help you.. but if it's causing More anxiety.. then I would definitely see the Doctor again.. I don't know why you were prescribed either of them .. I was given Venlafaxine because of Depression and anxiety.. it wasn't until I forgot a few doses then I didn't remember I had for a couple of weeks.. that I went on a downward spiral of .. basically not knowing what I was doing or saying and into a severe depression.. It was awful.. I hope you get an answer.. from your doctor.. Best of luck . Stay well and safe..
