Effexor xr four weeks clean but...

i was on effexor xr for 6 months i tappered doen from 75 mg to 37.5 and then slowly removed the little beads untill i was down to 1/4 of the beads. i felt i was ready to stop and that was four weeks ago. i went through the initial withdrawls the brain zaps, the confusion, aches and the onset of the merve pains.. and of coarse the anxiety. i knew that was all coming but what i am now concerned with is the muscle twitches and spasms. its all on the right side... it started with an eye twitch, then a cheek twitch, now its the right fingers here and there and the right muscles. this is all very new and im at a loss as to what it might be the cause. my head meds doc swears this has nothing to do with the effexor withdrawls. had anyone else experienced this?

Hi Pepper. I've gone through the effexor withdrawals and did get some twitches in face, neck and upper arms. I took magnesium tablets which helped - maybe this could help you too? I bought mine online. If you are bothered alot I would give your GP a ring for advice. Good luck and well done weaning down off effexor. It's not easy to do! X😊

Every day for a few weeks and then they started to reduce and only have them very occasionally now and they aren't troublesome.
