Elbow clicking

Posted , 2 users are following.

I fell skiing 3 months ago and hurt my elbow.

It was fine and no major issues with it since.

However my elbow clicks when I straighten it or flex it quickly. No pain.

X-ray showed no abnormalities.

Would an mri be useful? Just a bit weary of clicking and don't want arthritis to develop anytime soon.

Clicking and noises in a joint are a sign of something rubbing. SOmetimes we get bone spurs (osteophytes) in a joint after an injury and they can cause the noises too. It seems talking to your Dr. further or getting a second opinion is a good plan for this problem.
