for the past 6 weeks i have been having right hand paraesthesia in the ulna distribution part of my arm and my little finger and ring finger are going numb on and off troughout the day. I have extreme elbow pain and had an x ray and it showed bone fragments in my ulna humeral joint. I was sent a letter today from the hospital thay says "it is atraunatic and ongoing for the past 6 weeks" this is basically all my letter says from the hospital? what foes this mean? I have been referred to an elective upper limb clinic, but the letter was not clear at all
any help would be appreciated
thanks

That report is lacking a lot of info. i presume from the bone fragments that you had some type of trauma to your elbow(near your upper arm) . Regardless, the ulnar nerve is either compressed, damaged, or subluxing and this is causing the numbness in your hand. This nerve runs from your neck to your ring finger.
You need an upper extremity surgeon to check this out immediately. ULNAR NERVE TRANSPOSITION can fix this problem, but the longer you wait the more likely you are to have permanent parenthesis in your hand.
A NEUROLOGIST should check the impulses through the nerve first.
Best case scenario the nerve is compressed and Targeted physical therapy might set it free.
GOOD LUCK
