Hi Deb, at a guess, Tennis Elbow

    https://patient.info/health/tennis-elbow-leaflet

I have had it at various times & it is extremely painful.  Go to your GP.  I found that a steroid injectyion was most effective though at another stage, one of my GPs gave me acupuncture, which lasted for a long time.

    NSAIDs help a little.

    Good luck.

Hi Deb, I have experienced similar and followed up with my switched on GOwho referred me to a neurologist who performed a conductive nerve study. The result was ulnar nerve entrapment and carpal tunnel.

I had simple surgery to release both and haven't looked back. .

Also my wife Iis happy since I no longer drop cups or other crockery.

Hope this is of some help to you.. good luck.

Hi John.  Can not express enough just how grateful I am for feedback THANK YOU..  I have an appointment with GP after trying out home physio, creams, liniments that cost a small fortune & now wearing a elastic strap that does help a little.  I am writing down your info so I have some good advice to raise with my GP..  So good to know your wife is much happier after your op lol..  Definitely can relate to the gripping disibility.  Its amazing how much we can take things for granted until something like this happens.. Much thanks again John CHEERS
