has anyone ever had this - ive been getting it a lot the oast few weeks and it is scaring the hell out of me. i can just be sitting there and get a sudden jolt in my chest like a lighning bolt. i feel fine but my heart races a little and then returns to normal. ive had ecgs bloods and chest xray and got a 24 hour ecg next week. could this teally be anxiety? and if so why is it doing this to my heart

thank you for the reply it has reassured me a little. its so hard to know what is anxiety and what is not. i am so scared of thinking something is anxiety and brushing it off when it could actually be something serious. im finding all this so hard to deal with

once you suffer with anxiety its really hard i rememeber on the biggining i was freaking out every pain aches or new symptom i felt i was scared and thinking that im dying or im seriously ill ,was going hospita several times ebery each time they used to tell me that my body is fine all checks used to come back as normal .after some time i just realised that anxiety is sneak and its creating all that my only way way to get a bit better and stronger was to accept whatever new comes and most importand to learn to live with this just to minimise the stress and all what comes with it.i have two kids i couldnd give up as my body was telling me to i wanted to improve quality of my life to be able to enjoy it at least for and with my kids.i tried talking therapies twice i never been on pills.i came to knowledge that anxiety is a illness of our souls not our bodies and we are only the once who can control and fix it .first prority in this is to stay positive and each time you at your worse explain to your mind that your fine its just that sneaky anxiety trying to play up with you and slowly ruin your life and dont let it happen ,you are a winner you can win that battle ,ALL BEST

Hi Suzanne,
I had all tests also and they thankfully were negative. I couldn't handle the electric shocks and the headaches. I did meditation and accupuncture which helped temporarily. I found a neurologist who has helped me. I'm
on Celexa 10mg and after 7 months i have my life back. I only wish i found him 3 years earlier. Keep us posted how you are. Good luck. I hope I've helped you. You are not alone.

i get this too! definitely anxiety. dont worry ma'am. And when you have anxiety, the racing heart is very common after anything that scares you- that wasnt even related to your electric shock. And the report finally has its verdict too! dont worry and stay calm 😃
