Margaret, when I experience the start of anxiety, I use pursed lip breathing and it calms me down. I am trying to use the least amount of medicine that I can, including the inhalers. I wish you well.

I really feel for you Margaret.  This disease is a bitch and a half, but our lot in life going forward is finding ways to cope.  I dont use steroids exept for the cortosteroid in my once a day inhaler. I try to use eucalyptus essential oil on a small cloth to my nose when I begin to feel tightness and/or cough.  Its very portable and can be used anywhere, anytime.  Dont get to discouraged and keep looking for ways to breathe easier.  God willing, they will find a cure for this in our lifetime.
