hi nicole, ive had high levels of ebv antibodies and raised liver enzymes for about 18-19 months now. My liver enzymes did nearly return to normal and then the virus struck again and they went back up.
im sure it will return to normal once the virus has gone. what were your liver test results?

it sounds like you google and worry as much as me!
ive learned stress and worry makes it 100 x worse.
i know it will go eventually but some of the symptoms are so scary arent they.
keep drinking loads of water for your liver and plenty of rest

Oh it's not easy Ashley that's for sure! I do hope you are seeing some improvement and remember hang in there - this thing doesn't last forever and you will get better with time - absolutely I believe that.

Hi Ashley,
Did your brother become sick before or after you and for how long has he been sick? Do you have any clue as to how the two of you were infected? Any other family members affected?
I have been sick for about 18 months but it seems I am finally recovering which I am so relieved and excited about! However, a couple of my family members are now exhibiting similar symptoms which worries me.

hi isabelle, its a bit hard to tell as my brother had other problems prior to ebv. i think he caught it after me but im not 100% sure. my wife has also shown mild symptoms over the duration.
i meet a lot of different people for my job so i could of caught it from anyone of them i think. i could feel it building for a couple of months prior to it hitting me properly.
i glad you are recovering. hopefully we are just the lucky ones and our families wont get as sick as us!

Hi Nicole,
When I had mono I remember at least one of my blood tests showed my liver function tests to be off, and I've read so many other people on here saying the same thing. I think it can be very normal when going through this virus, mines returned to normal as I started to get better and hoping so much yours will too. In many cases this kind of thing is just something that seems to occur with mono, and is usually nothing to worry or panic about - just something to keep an eye on and hopefully the doctor can keep on top of it and do future blood tests too just to see how things are going.
Hoping you have a much better weekend Nicole I know it's been a very tough week for you - thinking about you and sending healing thoughts and hugs.

Hoping you are feeling more settled today Nicole, as Isabelle says this kind of thing really is often very normal with mono and it does return to normal again. Thinking about you and remember just take one day at a time and that you will get there with time.
