Eliminate hip flexor pain for track and field.

I am a sprinter in high school for the 100m and 200m events. I have been dealing with hip flexor pain for a very long time now. Because of this I cannot run pain-free and I am in rehab. I visited a physical therapist who said that the quad muscles that insert into the hip were most likely strained (rec femoris TFL) which also made my hip flexors weak and tight. After resting, I have been doing hip flexor strengthening and stretching exercises. Also been stretching my quads and foam rolling there too. I have been doing these rehab exercises and stretchings for two weeks now, but still feel the same pain. My hips still feel weak and I don't feel like I am recovering from my injury. I am starting to lose hope and I don't feel like I will be able to run. I came here to post this to see if anyone could give me tips to ensure recovery, or if anyone who has recovered from a hip flexor injury can advise me. It is very demoralizing to be in this constant state of injury and missing out in practice. I want to be able to run again at 100% with no hip-flexor pain like the beast I was. Please help
