like the title says, I'm wondering if theres anything that can affect how Eliquis works in a negative fashion, or if anyone has experienced anything of the sort. I've been on this med for two years and I'm just a bit nervous is all. my diet isnt the best and I'm taking Bupropion for anxiety/depression

If you are worried google "apixaban drug interactions" then you can see if your antidepressant is on the list. Another thing to know is you should avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice as it can interfere with blood thinners.

nah I'm not worried about interactions with it, I'm just worried if other factors such as diet and activity level affect Eliquis' effectiveness to thin blood.

All the things I am aware of are the things to avoid because they can cause put your risk of internal bleeding up because they are natural blood thinners not the other way around!

Funny thing, I was walking this afternoon and started getting a subtle soreness in my right leg. Now I wouldn't have thought much of it until I started feeling.....not quite numbness or tingling but my foot felt like it had something that was blocked? Not only that but it felt cold to the touch, but no red or blue-ish skin, no pain and no throbbing sensation. I don't know if that's a clot or something else, but I'm freaking out.

Hi,
I had a PE in June 2018 after a hip op. I was put on apixaban for three months, after a month it made me very ill, anxiety was through the roof. I went to my GP, I told him I was stopping the apixaban, he said it is a risk, I agreed, he said buy root ginger and make tea from it.

I'm not planning on quitting Eliquis, thankfully.
