Embarrassed to go to my local GP

Hi,

I'm 31 and have had this on my penis behind my foreskin since I can remember at least early 20's it has never really changed that I can say that I've noticed, its never itchy, or sore or gives me any bother and am wondering if its HPV or just skin disorder or something else?

I'm meaning the skin below the head of the penis and know the white little pimple like things around the rim of the head are normal just to clarify...

I always shower and was throughly behind it and would say I'm a pretty clean person!

I'm trying to build up the courage to see a doctor but am quite Embarrassed to go to one...

I've been sexually active since 18, and do and don't use condoms etc... I figured I'd give this a forum a shot being able to basically be unknown and less fear.

Many thanks for any replies or feedback.

I've attached two photos with one with my foreskin pulled back and other with it resting.

Matt

Blister like appearance suggestive of HSV (herpes)... it is pretty hard to say.

There are many types of HPV, and the ones causing warts usually do not have blister like appearance.

Did you get your 9-valent HPV vaccine prior to sexual activities? If you did not, a bit late as HPV 9-valent is not going to work -after- sexual contact

Don't think I've ever been HPV vaccinated, pretty sure it's not herpes as they've never changed or grown since i can remember and not had them anywhere else which I thought herpes gives you a lot more trouble with....

They have never hurted, flared up, caused me any grief and to my knowledge not spread or changed in many years that i've noticed, If i pull my skin hard enough they almost completely flatten out and only seem raised when the skin isn't tight, they can still very slightly be seen.

Was hoping it was a skin condition or something more simple, the head of my penis also has very similar but not exactly the same and they do carry under slightly underneath the head in some spots but not like at the front/top as shown in the photo...

Matt, so the major clue to what you have is this:

" have had this on my penis behind my foreskin since I can remember "

... I would say this is simply the way in which your penis has developed - I think if you went to see a GP / PCP / family Doctor they would simply say 'you have nothing to worry about'

If you want to be 100% sure go see a urologist - you can get to see one at a major sexual health / STI clinic, or if you live in the UK go to a GUM Clinic at the largest General Hospital near to where you live .....

Any other symptoms? Frequent Urination, irritation, reduced sensitivity, or anything?
