Embedded bladder wall infection.

Has anyone on this forum been tested for embedded bladder wall infection? I have been reading they present as urinary tract infections that when sent for cultures, come back as negative. The infection is embedded in the bladder wall and is hard go diagnose.

Hi, I've also read about it but I don't know how it can be diagnosed. Do you know ? I have cystitis symptoms, burning, urgency and pain after urinating, but my cultures are usually negative. But the last vaginal swab was positive for e.coli so that was strange..

Hi. No I've just been reading about it , but I'm going to follow it up. I read about a few ladies who had it and it's my symptoms exactly. I don't think these symptoms can all be atrophy. I've had some really nasty urinary tract infections over the years ( I'm 64) and i do wonder if there's lingering bacteria that just doesn't show up. I'll let you know.
