Hi Heather, why dont you celebrate your child's birthday the day before your op. It will help to distract you and be nice for them to. Hope that everything goes well love

As horrible as it will be to miss your daughters birthday it isn't worth postponing your op and may be having to wait ages for another date, why not celebrate with her the day before you go in, she is old enough to understand that you have to go into hospital and she would much rather her mum was well, you will have many many more birthdays to celebrate with her on the actual day in future.

I had a vaginal hysterectomy and I have to say it wzsnt half as bad as I thought it would be..cramps fir few days but after not much.

bleeding g hardly any but I did rest for 6 weeks with no lifting for 6 months . even now I refuse to carry bags.

celebrate your daughters birthday hun, as worrying ei,l not change a thing. I know we are all so unique in recovery and pain thresholds but it really wasnt half as bad and I could not wait to be put out so it was all over.

be positive and yiu will sail through it no probs. I'm sure you got the best surgeon who have done hundreds may be thousands.

chin up hun nothing to worry for. x
