Bob that must be so frightening for you and once the emergency had been sorted, so disappointing too. I had constant infections and rashes with this drug, so I was unable to carry on with it. I had a similar experience to you with Humira though. It wasn't an allergy but I got one strange spot and my ear was in agony. As I was talking on the phone to the out of hours Doctor service, my breathing became really difficult and my throat felt like it had a brick in it. The service called 999 for an Ambulance . I was rushed in and my breathing was assisted. By the morning, I had hugely painful spots down the side of my face. It was the first of many visits of the Shingles monster. It had perforated my ear drum. I was in hospital for 6 days on IV therapy and pain relief. It is scary when you get reactions to the medication or worsening of infections due to your suppressed immune system. My thoughts are with you for a good recovery and for some relief from this condition.

Hi Bob, so sorry to hear about the trouble you've experienced.  You might want to talk with your doctor because enbrel amd humira are both TNF blockers. I have not tried those.  I have used Remicade and Oriencia without any problems. My best to you, Jo
