Endolymphatic Hydrops progression to MD

Hi everyone. i had two instances of hearing loss about two years ago about 4 months apart. First was hearing loss with tinnitus, fullness in both ears. second was the same but only in one ear. no vertigo either time. I havent had an instance since and i dont restrict my diet. the doctors cant seem to agree on what happened but they say it may be endolymphatic hydrops. i cant seem to find any info about the chances of this progressing to full MD. Any info would be helpful.

It says it is Menieres
Primary idiopathic endolymphatic hydrops, known as Ménières disease, occurs for no known reason. Secondary endolymphatic hydrops occurs in response to an event, such as head trauma, allergy or an underlying condition, such as an autoimmune disorder.
You are lucky it seems.

Howdy,
I have bilateral Meniere's Disease and it started with having one blocked ear in 2015. I was convinced that it was impacted ear wax that need to be removed by a specialist (ENT). To my surprise, the ENT found no ear wax at all. I shrugged it off and figured it would sort itself out in time. I then started to have cold sweats (body sweats) a couple of times a week almost like my body was fighting something like a bug. In June 2017, I was sitting at my desk at work and began to feel nauseous, afraid that I was going to have vomit. I stood up and instantly knew something was seriously wrong with me. I barely made it down the hall to the bathroom, staggering like a drunk and experienced violent rotary vertigo with vomiting and diarrhea for 3.5 hours. There was also a roaring, whooshing sound like a freight train rolling thru my head during this acute attack followed by an eerie silence before the permanent tinnitus set in. I went home and researched all of my symptoms and it came back with a 100% hit for Meniere's disease. A few doctors later, the official diagnosis was made for MD in September 2017. Some friendly advice is to pay close attention to your blocked ear and any other symptoms and keep a running list. This will help your Doctor to have a full picture of what's going on. God willing you will be ok and your condition will not progress into this wretched disease or anything else. Best wishes & God bless you.
