Thanks for listing this forum! I'm 51 and about 4 years post menopausal. I've not had a period or any spotting in over 4 years. I have had problems with painful intercourse and vaginal drying and occasional watery discharge. A couple weeks ago, I had what seemed like a light period. I had to go buy panty liners, and over flowed them once or twice on the heaviest day. Around the same time, I had breast tenderness. I had even joked with my husband that it felt like I was pregnant, as that was always the first sign for me. Then came the bleeding. I called my GP, who most urgently insisted I go see a gyn. I had a pelvic ultrasound, and my uterine lining was 5.6mm, which he said was just barely abnormal. I'm getting scheduled for a D&C next week with biopsy. I felt like I've been over-reacting, that this was really just barely abnormal and I probably just had a little rose in estrogen...now I'm getting a little nervous. I've long thought my discharge smelled a little strange, but figured it was just what it's like to be menopausal...there really isn't much info out there!

I am glad you are taking steps to have this check out. Any bleeding after menopause should be investigated. I was post menopause 18.5 years. PAP test showed bacterial vaginosis but my doctor didn't feel it was serious. Three months later I began to bleed, enough that I had to purchase several boxes of panty liners, then light pads. A gyn took a biopsy sample while I was waiting for an ultrasound. The results came back about the same time as the ultrasound and it was a kick in the gut to hear that it was serious (the Big C). they did a full hysterectomy and because it was early it appears that they got it all. I am glad you are acting on this now.

Hello and many thanks, Informed! I was just diagnosed with E.C. this past Monday. I do not believe that I have had symptoms but was prompted to go to the doctor when my belly swelled up and a gush of clear fluid soaked my pants. From that point, the fluid was constant clear with some pink until my D&C. Is this typical of early stage or should I brace myself? Many ladies symptoms mention bloody discharge but not clear. Your thoughts please.

The clear fluid was my first sign, pinkish fluid , then spotting/light bleeding and bloating. I also just didn't feel like myself and my eating habits changed - from moderate to heavy eating to hardly anything at all.

Hello there!
I'm so glad I found this forum.
After a d&c due to heavy bleeding, I was diagnosed with G1 Endo Ca. I opted to for a mirena treatment with the hope that we can try one more time to get pregnant. I'm almost to my three month mark for another check up. Since the placement of mirena I have been spotting and bleeding, worse was the first month. Also, I have every now and then a cramp or pinching pain in my lower abdomen.
Some light headedness and exhaustion but nothing too severe.
Curious if anyone opted for an intrauterine treatment and how it's going.
Thank you! 😚

1. Pain in the pelvic area.
2. A pelvic lump.
3. Weight loss.
Symptoms of endometrial cancer can be mistaken for those of another condition, such as endometriosis.

I have had yearly paps for the last 14 years. I was diagnosed with an aggressive strain of hpv16, about 2 years ago, which can lead to cerivical cancer. A biopsy confirmed that there was a “huge” cancerous lesion on my cervix and I was warned that it was growing rapidly. After the laparoscopic procedure to remove the lesion, I tested negative for hpv. 6 month check up: negative. 1 year check up: negative. Annual check up a year after that: my gyno orders a transvaginal ultrasound because of symptoms I’ve had - which aren’t typical.
My periods have gotten severely lighter over the past couple of years. Recently, they only last two days, and I only bleed (or drip) enough for thin panty liners, but I will pass clots when using the bathroom. I had noticed a foul odor one cycle that I’d never experienced before, or since, even though my std/sti panel came back clear - no infections, no hpv. The color of my menstrual blood has changed. Sometimes brownish to grey or “black.” Sometimes a very light hue of pink. Sometimes normal. It’s all over the place at the moment.
Transvaginal ultrasound showed my endometrial thickness at 13mm. Plus an empty, or recently drained cyst. Gyno ordered an endometrial biopsy. 3 month’s later I have that done and I am currently waiting on the results. I’ve been very fatigued lately. Even with naps, vitamins, drinking plenty of water, yoga. I’ve been emotional. Random bouts of nausea, especially at night. What feels like menstrual cramps in between periods. For a moment there I thought I was pregnant. I’m eager to have my results and am hoping for the best. According to my physician, I also have a “dying thyroid.” So I’m curious to see if that is connected at all to any of this.
I’ll be back with an update later this week. Peace to you all.
