Endometriosis after a total Hysterectomy

Hi. I'm looking for some advice as don't know who to speak to. I was admitted into hospital last Thursday for what was possible appendicitis. Anyway the following day I was referred to the Gynae team.. confused as to why. I was told that on 2016 they found a 4mm growth which is now 10mm following a CT Scan. I am in so much pain. And to be honest I am so upset because I never wanted to go through this pain ever again, after years of surgery, pain and medication I was relieved when it was all taken away.

Anyway I went onto HRT a combination tablet and had no trouble. I went to my GP last year and asked for a repeat prescription to be told for 7 years i was taking the wrong one and only needed a 1 hormone HRT. So i have been taking it ever since and to be honest haven't felt myself for a long time.

I am now to go back on a Combined HRT patch.

Does anyone know if this will help the pain and reduce the endometriosis getting worse.

Sorry for going on, but I am gutted that after 14years I'm back to square one. I'm 43 and lucky to have 2 beautiful grown up children..

The patch I have been prescribed Evorel Sequi Patches.. has anyone else used these.

    Hi Nicki

All I can really do is offer empathy. I had a total hysterectomy at 27, went on conjugated estrogen (premarin) and at 54, endo was back & I had a bowel resection. I had already cut my HRT almost to nothing so I went off it completely.

When I woke up from that surgery, not then knowing that endo was what had caused the problem, my first words in my room were that if I needed another abdominal surgery, my significant other & an old friend who was there should take me out & put me out of my misery because I wouldn' t have another abdominal surgery. (That was abdominal surg #5, not all for endo.)

So I ignore abdominal issues. Right now something is going on with my bladder but I'm trying re-training. Haven't seen a gyn in 30 years. I am sure that any gyn & any gastro would want to cut me open. Nope, at least not now. I'll live with my adhesions as long as i can.

Sorry for the confusion  but what stage of endo are you in? Are the patches stopping your period? When did you last have a period? Whats the consistency? I really hope you consider detoxing love

Confusion???? You think we're going to buy that??? How can you possibly be a woman with endo and not know what a hysterectomy, much less a total hysterectomy means, in terms of periods and stages?

Or could it be that you are only on this site to sell a detox program, which is what I've wondered about you all along.

FYI, hysterectomy means removal of uterus & total hysterectomy means removal of uterus, tubes, cervix. Tell us , please, which part it is that sheds its lining in 28-day (roughly) cycles and without which there will be no bleeding?

Sorry, let me clarify to Sagarius: What's the body part without which there will be no vaginal bleeding?

You read all that from my statement? Please focus on her and not me! I’m

      Not confused about anything.

Sorry, but she said she had a total hysterectomy and you seem confused about what that means. The uterus is what slough its lining and bleeds in monthly cycles. A hysterectomy means removal of the uterus. How is she supposed to be bleeding in monthly cycles without a uterus?

You know zero about women's menstrual cycles & zero about endo, clearly. Go over to the alternative forum to sell your detox junk.
