I'm 38 and 4 years ago I had a hysterectomy and 2 years ago I have my ovaries out and I'm now on hrt, but a couple of months ago I started with pain I'm very familiar with as I've this problem for over 15 years, went to my gp and he sent me for a scan and to see my consultant, I had my scan lastnight and I have endometriosis again and chocolate cysts, I didn't think this was possible, I'm going to see my consultant on Tuesday and hopefully I can have Medication for this bot more surgery!!! Any advice out there I'm losing the will!!!!

I am 44 years of age. I have had endo for a long time. I have had meds and laser treatment over the years but now I am getting 3 month injections backed with HRT. It has been two years now that I have been getting this treatment. It's great being period and pain free but like you I am starting to get the dull aches/pains/ discomfort again. My own GP has referred me back to my gynogologist. I don't understand why this could happen because I haven't had a period in two years. My left side is stuck together while my right side is heading that way. I still have endo in the Sac of Douglas which could not be layered two years ago because my gynogologist said it would be too dangerous where it is. Like you, I am looking for advice.

Hi. Can you go any lower safely on your hrt doseage as that will help but they may decide to have another clear out. I'm no expert but seem to have read anything and everything going as I go in soon to have lot gone including ovaries for exactly the same reason. Hope you get a resolution without surgery. Good luck x

My gynogologist said he will keep me on the injections for a total of 4-5 years on one condition that I take the HRT because of my age. I didn't want to at first but because it's been ok I don't mind now so I hope I don't need to change things again. Just when you think your endo is manageable it kicks you in the teeth.
