Hi there

I am 35 years old and have severe pain on left side, swelling, tirdness and spotting. I went to see a Gyno consultant who did ultrasound scans (only external). I then went back for the results which were clear. The consultant spoke to me about my various options either Laposcopy or prostap injections. I chose to have a laposcopy but the consultant talked me out of it saying it would not help my syptoms and wanted me on the injections. I feel like I was pushed into this decision and not fully aware what the injections were he preformed it there and then. I have had since one more injection and been really poorly no energy, hot flushes, dizzyness and shortness of breath...has anyone else had these symptoms I am concerned if they are treating my correctly with endometriosis not fully diagnosed.

    Hi Lindsay1979,

I has Endometriosis at early age, i"m now 43 yrs old. I had 2 surgery to remove it(Laproscopic) felt much better it came back, cause I still had my ovaries, so when I had 3rd hysterectomy they removed them & more Endo. No, injection for me. I've heard of other ladies with Endo, they hae it removed! (laproscopic)

      Hi Awaken

I was diagnosed when 19 with endo and had 3 lapoctomies and having my appendices removed. I then had a further out break when I was 26. This time all I have received is an ultrasound which was clear. They then just said need to go through menapause with prostap injections but no further investigations. I am just not sure it's what I have as still in pain and feel shocking

    Lindsay 1979,

If u had Endo not all the time, but most cases it reacures, & even if I have no more female organes, if taken HRT hormonal treatment with Progestarone, estrojen, Testostoran-natrual. My OBGYN/surgion, said "estrogon promotes Endo, I tried just Prog: that was a bad mistake! Estro is what yr body provides whan u have ovaries. Test can be done to see if it's Endo, so it ca be removed. or it could be something else. Also, had gulblader removed-37 following Endo surgery, then partial Hyst on the 3rd Hyst Dr E, noticed more Endo & much hesions wich really hurt, removed all. now i have (Endometrium) something like that he said. It's causeing much pain, burning lower pelvic LHSide, but I know the Dr. prior  made a mistake and that's why he sent me to Dr. E to finish what he couldn't finish. Supposably in the long run I'll be ok. I'm seeing Dr. E. in a few days, this will make 6 mths frm last Hyst: Confusing, I know. Sorry. Trying to put all this in a short summery. And I get noseous, amoung many other sumptoms, allthough some are better now!! I banged right into manapause 1 1/2  ago.

Hi Lindsay, i know how you feel. I had 2 prostap injections which helped with the pain but have had chronic indigestion and heartburn ever since. No-one seems to know if its connected or not but have been told to stop incase. waiting to see a gastro doc for other tests but everything so slow and in such pain dont know where to turn. All i would say if you start with any indigestion problems stop injections immediately. best of luck x
