I had my gb removed on Feb 16. I had nausea for about a week, and pain because of the gas for about 3 or 4 days. The wounds only hurt a little bit for about 10 days. I felt a little pain under my ribs if I walked or stood for too long, but that was also gone after less than one month. I started having problems with my GB on Jan 2 (will never forget that day), and I can say that I am almost back to normal. I try to eat healthily and have had only minor digestive problems.

If you are still struggling with the trapped air would gripe water ( that you give babies) be any use? Just a thought...my friend had a gynae procedure done where her abdomen was just so stuffed full of trapped gas afterwards & she was in agony with it. The recovery room nurse suggested it & apparently it worked a treat. That and to keep gently moving - walk up and down the room if that's all you can manage. Movement encourages it to leave your body. Sorry to hear you are struggling and hope improvement is imminent. Best of luck with your recovery.
