Endoscopy Pain

hi i have had quite a few endoscopies in my time with no major pain issues but i had one today and now 7 hours later am in pain. the pain is in behind my mid breastbone and just below where upper stomach starts it feels like a heavy weight, this got worse after i had some hot soup and it hurt going down. i am worried some damage may have been done. has anyone experienced this kind of pain, should i be heading to hospital? if it was that there was damage done would i have felt it straight after procedure or is this kind of pain delayed? some advice would be appreciated, thank you
