Endoscopy: Pain when swallowing

Posted , 2 users are following.

I had an upper endoscopy two days ago.

Felt a bit bloated and gassy for the rest of the day, but what I noticed on day 2 was a very sharp pain when swallowing food or liquids.

It was like the food/water would hit a certain part of my oesophagus and then I'd feel the sharp pain as the food water past.

My discharge notes and research don't mention anything about this as a possible side effect of the procedure. Starting to get worried.

Anyone else experience this and how long did it last?

Hi, it’s been a few days since you posted. How are you doing? Is dysphagia (trouble swallowing) still bothering you? If so, please contact a doctor at the earliest.
