Endoscopy without sedation!!

Hello everyone

So today I had my upper endoscopy to have a look at my stomach. I chose to go without sedation as I wanted to leave straight after! I have to say, it was the worse thing ever! I'm not trying to put anyone off but I didn't take it well, the tube went past my gag reflex but I still continued to gag throughout the procedure and it was really uncomfortable for me personally. Next time I will be sedated!

They ended up diagnosing me with

. Prolapsing gastric mucosa

. Rolling Hernia

I'm not sure what my next step from here is.

They've send the report to my GP, what happens now?

They will decide if you need a a surgery for hernia and treatment for the gastric mucosa

Thank you for your response rocky, I now have insight of what to expect.

The people who do the procedure don't tell you much and I left there unsure really to what's going to happen. Will my GP call me or do I have to call her to make an apppoinment?
