Enemas - new to me and can't seem to use it all

I know this may sound gross but I've been given enemas 100ml, and I can only use just over half of that in the allocated time, does that make me worse off? Is this a problem?

    Hi Brooke,

Little at a time is the way to go with enemas, I had to lie on my left side, then administer the enema slowly till it was all gone, then roll onto my front and lie flat till it had settled, about 10 mins usually. I only ever used them when I was going to bed, it was impossible in the morning as as soon as I stood up I would lose the lot. Not pleasant.

It says to administrate then enema in 30-40 seconds which I can't do, does it matter if I take longer?
