Enlarged Heart

Hi I've been told an xray I've had is showing signs I could have an enlarged heart. Has anyone else been in this situation before and then when you have an ECG its shows as ok ? My mum died with cardiomyopathy at 64 so I'm scared to death as I'm 54 x

How are you doing? I might have an enlarged upper part of my heart, going to see the doctor in three days and my dad had cardiomyopathy too. I also have mild mitral valve prolapse but my doctor seems to have missed telling me about the enlarged part from my last echocardiogram from 3 1/2 years ago so a bit worried. But I am not short of breath so that is good. My father had pericarditis two times so not sure but that might be what caused it so not necessarily genetic.

What does your doctor say about it? I am taking magnesium and now CoenzymeQ10 and working on making sure I don't have cardiovascular disease as I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so not getting enough exercise. I believe that there are other things we can do to heal and while it's very important to see the doctor I think some vitamins may help (but also important to mention them to one's doctor).
