Epigastric hernia?

I am seeing a consultant next week. I have bloating; a feeling of fullness after eating, belching more and nausea. The less I eat the easier it feels. I also have a long thin hardish lump which seems to be in the fatty tissue midway between my sternum and belly button in the centre. I am wondering if it could be an epigastric hernia and was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar? Or does anyone else have an idea what this could be? Thanks to anyone who replies. D.
