There is a report I read online, written in 2017, that indicate the presents of both BPPV and Meniere’s in patients. I am not sure what this means treatment wise.

It can occur together, but if you are just looking down and not moving your head it's not likely to be BPPV because the crystal movement is what causes the vertigo from that.

Hello Bluesmann, I found your post most interesting, I have had vertigo occur when moving my head to a specific position. Years ago I went to my primary for this very reason, at that time he thought it was (BPPV) and he performed the Epley and he had to do the Brandt-Daroff exercises. He thought that the problem was calcium carbonate crystals getting misplaced and causing vertigo. A few months later I was suffering from violent rotational vertigo with a whole lot of nausea and vomiting. It wasn't until I seen a balance specialist that I discovered that it wasn't the crystals at all. Meniere's damages the vestibular nerve that sends positional information to the brain, and when the vestibular nerve send the wrong information about you head position
The brain goes vertigo because of the contrast between what the ear says and what the eyes see about your positioning.

I had the manipulations done once, many years ago, and it didn't help me.
I also have certain positions that trigger vertigo. I can't look to the right, lie completely flat, I can look at the computer screen scrolling up but not scrolling down, I can't look up for long. If a friend has their tv mounted above the mantel I can't watch for long lol
It is interesting. Figuring out what it means and how it all relates is the tough part~Mary

Up to 30% of Meniere's sufferers develop BPPV but they are not connected conditions.
It is worth trying the Epley manoeuvre (Good video by Canadian physical therapist on U Tube) to see if it helps. It will do no harm but have an adult with you in case you get very dizzy and disorientated.
I have a touch of BPPV and Epley works for me - its not a cure as the crystals can escape again so you may need to repeat it from time to time.
