Hi I'm 22 years old and I'm experiencing an erectile dysfunction. My penis don't erect at dawn and in the morning
I've masturbated for about 6 years now andive quit masturbation but I don't know if that's causing the erectile dysfunction. Pleasif there's any treatment you can recommend for me I would appreciate that. thanks

I'm not clear from the way you describe your issue whether you think stopping masturbation could have caused ED, or whether masturbating too much was the cause. Either way, masturbating a couple of times a week is likely to help your ability to have erections, but abstinence also can make physical desire more intense. Whether we masturbate or not, at 22 years old, our biology usually makes sure we can continue the species! If you are certain you are not getting hard in your sleep, there may be a medical issue, either with your hormones or blood circulation, that needs your doctor's attention and help.

Hi Pepasan thanks for the comments
I masturbated a lot during the days I used to do but this time I've stopped so I don't know of that's what has made my veins weak but I do get erections and it's just at dawn and in the morning that I don't get erections

I don't think masturbation makes "veins weak" or causes ED. It may even help prevent ED.

Then please what do you think is making me not get erections at dawn? Because I'm a young man of age 22. I get erections during the day and in the evening but it is only at dawn that I don't get erections.
Please what could be the cause of this problem? Could it be because of the penile discharge that I'm experiencing?

If you just mean that you don't get morning wood any more, that's not ED, but rather a normal part of getting older. If you can get erections at all, and they're firm enough and last long enough to have intercourse, then I don't think there's any treatment required.
If you really have a problem, then stopping masturbation is unlikely to help, and may even make things worse.

Thanks ml66uk for your comment. However, I do have erections but it's only at dawn and in the morning that I don't get erections. I had the morning wood earlier on. But one thing is that I get this white sticky discharge coming from my penis when I urinate and it's kept on coming for I think 6 years now so I don't know if that can also be a cause of the problem.

Are saying you don't get spontaneous erections any more? I don't think that would be especially unusual at age 22. If you can't get an erection in the morning at all, say with a partner or looking at porn, that would be more unusual.
The discharge you mention sounds a lot more worrying to be honest, and I think Id see a doctor about that. It may be worth taking some of the discharge with you so a doctor can look at it, or maybe get it tested. You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck.
These links may be useful (but note that penile discharge and NGU aren't always due to an STI) :

Although you say you have no morning erections, it still might be that you have erections in your sleep but aren't aware of them. Maybe your sleep pattern has changed recently. Men have erections most during REM (dreaming) sleep - and it isn't just when having dreams of a sexual nature. Although not foolproof, a test for erections during the night would be to stick a ring of postage-stamp type paper around the girth of your penis when you go to bed. If the ring of paper has stayed on, then no erections have taken place.

OK then I would try that. But one thing is when I wake up at dawn and try to have sex with my girlfriend, I don't get a stable erection. It cokes and go

That must be frustrating for both of you, however, I'm sure you will find a way to help this problem. I hope she is supportive.

Please isn't there a solution that you can offer me?

Because I have to take sildenafil before I can get a stable erection at dawn. I learnt sildenafil is a tablet for solving erectile dysfunction problems but I don't know if it has a very serious side effects in the future

As long as you are prescribed sildenafil and have obtained it from a local pharmacy rather than over the internet, you'll be fine. I have used sildenafil and tadalafil prescribed by my urologist and gp for several years on and off occasionally and it is safe with no bad consequences for me. You probably shouldn't use it more than once or twice a week, in my opinion.

I don't get you. Are you trying to say I shouldn't take it twice a day or week? Because I reqd an article on the intake of those drugs and found out that it shouldn't be taken more than once in a day but one tablet can be taken everyday .

So it's like if one needs sex everyday he can take the tablet half an hour before the sex?
