ERTAPENEM IV

Has anyone been on Ertapenem IV therapy? my son has HS, he is 13. he has been on a number of treatments and nothing has worked or even really helped. right now he is on 40mg Humira biweekly and clindamicyn and rifampin. tried upping the doseof the antibiotics, didnt help. he already has high levels of humira in his blood so we cant up that. i think the dr wants to do the iv therapy. its a 6 week course of daily antibiotic through IV. thoughts?
