how many people have had problems with esa and the atos assessment.  I went as the lying cow put down that I go out drinking with my old work mates and said I was well. and later said I got out of breath whe  talking and failed to record the fact I was in pain and have damage to.my lungs from the enzymes.  I wouldn't mind but I have worked all my life served my country and only get £145.52 a fortnight feom the government . and yes I have enquired but thats all the entitlement I am allowed while awaiting assessment.  its a joke..........

Hey Robin, I can relate to this completely. I signed on sick as I was on jobseekers and I was getting my Gallbladder removed, only the week I was expected to go in to surgery I ended up getting a stone stuck and got pancreatitis. I had done the atos assessment a few month before I was due for my operation and they were fine with everything as I had proof my operation was soon. When I got out of hospital after recovering from pancreatitis I recieved a letterr from 'TVS' this is a work programme, to go to see them an hours travel away from my house on the bus literally a week after I would've had my gallbladder removed. This operation was of course cancelled because I had to rest for four week before I was allowed to get surgery. The headache it was to get it through their skulls that I was not fit enough for travel, my doctor didnt know what to do apart from write out another sick note for me explaining I have pancreatitis and I was not fit for travel. They are still continuing to bug me up until now to go to this work programme and I have just had my surgery. Like you I am a educated person who has worked and tried to work again, I feel like I am being treated like I am some sort of drop out. Its all down to this 'decision maker' about what they do with you after the assessment, I hope it goes well for you.

I got my assessment back and I have found multiple lies on it. like I go out socialising with my ex work colleagues and I am in regular contact.  This is a registered nurse who clearly doesn't understand nor listen to the fact you can't drink. she said I looked well even though I hadn't shaven. I have tremble because of the pain and coughing and breathless due to lungs scarred by enzymes.  plus she said I picked up a brick off the floor. never even did that.

so now Im filing a complaint with DWP ATOS and the uk nurses register as she is duty bound to record the truth and not lie or adapt my statement or health records.  if she loses her registration tuff shouldn't lie or falsely record information down.

I wrote to Ian Duncan and to my local mp.my local mp to be fair has been fantastic. First thing the following morning he complained to the head of dwp and Mr Duncan. Low and behold my decision was over turned and now getting sorted.  I am still pursuing the Atos assessor for lies and falsely altering evidence.

I hope it goes well for you, I know what it's like to have to survive on that amount, I worked nearly all my life apart from the last nine months but they did not know why I was getting so much pain, I do have osteoarthritis as well

stay strong Robin0 about ESA/ATOS, I was lucky & filed & won an Appeal in January 2014, & a ruling in my favour... but that was before my Tumour of Pancreas was identified.

If you need any help let me know... it has to be a DWP Appeal filed via a local Law Centre, there's free ones out there, dependin where you are, in UK.
