Hi,
How long is a pice of string? There's not really an answer for you i'm afraid. Decision times vary wildly accross the country for 2- 8 weeks sometimes longer. You're very lucky to have had your assessment after only 6 months. Some are waiting more than double that time. You could ring DWP and see if a decision has been made, if it has they'll tell you. Good luck.

Hello...thanks for your reply.i`m mentally/physically & emotionally not well.this delay-first with the assessment-and now with the medical decision is really not helping my fragile state.i tried phoning the DWP medical department but they were pretty useless.i`ll just have to wait it seems.
Thanks again.

Yes i'm sorry it's just a case of waiting. Everyone who's waiting for a decision most likely feels exactly the same as you right now. I know i do when i'm being re-assessed. There really isn't anything you can do until you have that decision. When you ring ESA if there's no decision made then they won't be able to help. Give it another week and try ringing again. Remember that waiting time doesn't include weekends. Without weekend it's been 9 days since your f2f assessment, which means it could be a few weeks yet. You could actually ring and ask for a copy of the assessment report. Once they've recieved both copies they'll send one to you. This will give you some idea on what that decision will be because mostly the decision maker goes with that report. This will also help having this if you do get found "fit for work" and you ask for the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) hope this helps.

Hi, i had my esa face to face assessment on June 9th and I'm still waiting to hear from dwp. I've been in the support group for 3yrs and this was my first experience of having a review with an actual medical professional, i was told I'd be waiting 2-3 weeks well that was almost 7 weeks ago so I called the job centre to be told that no decision had been made yet & there's actually no time limit, its just a case of waiting. I hope you hear soon, its a horrible feeling not knowing what's happening, the anticipation is sickening.
