Escitalopram?

Been thinking about changing my Anti Depressant to Escitalopram and wondered if anyone has any experience with this. Internet searches come back as positive.

Been on Brintellex for over a year and found it ineffective.

Thanks for the reply, looks like I'm going back on Venlefaxine as its very potent for anxiety. Was on it for years but went to the max dose 3 years ago and stopped working but psychiatrist thinks should be ok to go back on it. Quite happy to do so.

I've been on it for about a month and a half.  This was my first every medication for anxiety.  I experienced very mild side effects the first 5 days going on at 5 mg, and the first 5 days increasing dose to 10 mg.

    Side effects -

Tired feeling - I was able to work all day, exercise at night and still went to bed at normal hour so it wasn't disruptive.  I felt more tired than I actually was

Mild nausea - I would get waves of nausea that would leave as quick as they came.  Never actually vomited, feelings usually lasted less than 30 seconds.

Small spike in anxiety around day 4 and 5 each time, nothing unbearable though.

Like i said, these side effects were very mild and were only present hte first 5 days each time.  I believe the medicine is working for me, I haven't had a panic attack since upping starting on 10mg.
